Personalising your gadgets is a huge trend since years. The more colourful, the cuter, the more unique is the best. Sometimes unfortunately people forget about the function and care more about the look.
I have a Moto G, since March and although I really love it, the slim, bit slippery phone wasn't safe with me. I decided with silicone cases, to give it a nice grip. I bought them from amazon.com, 10 cases in a pack, different colours, I am really happy with the purchase.
Obviously, here comes the personalising. I had big plans, using sharpies, but soon turned out, that these permanent markers are not so permanent on the silicone. But, nothing can stop me, when it comes to crafting and cows. So there you go, this is how I made my own cow themed phone case:
- From the 10 different colours, I fished out the white one.
- Getting some inspiration from google, my boyfriend drew a reaaally cute cow head on the silicone case with only a black and a pink sharpie.
- Using the dimensional magic glue from mode podge (we came across this product in previous posts, I just love this product), I created a thin, glass-like layer on top of the drawing. It is very easy, since the glue is not going everywhere, stays on the line, so first I just did the edges then filled it out. I let it dry on a flat surface for 5 hours. Be careful when handling it, because if you bend the case (since it is silicone, it can easily happen), the layer can break on it!
- And here you have it, your very own phone case, 100% no one has the same! If you are not happy with the mode podge layer you created, it can be peeled off just like a sticker!
Moo:)
